iF Charities, formerly the Israel Idonije Foundation, is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to impacting underserved communities by providing programs focused on social and emotional life skills.

The concept of iF broadens the possibilities of what we can do and will guide us to grow our efforts — bringing more people together to transform more lives.  iF Charities is focused on building tomorrow’s leaders through strategic non-profit, corporate, and individual partnerships.

Social and emotional learning (SEL) is a process through which children and adults acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. Social and emotional life skills are critical to being a good student, citizen, worker. Many risk behaviors. (e.g. drug use, violence, bullying, and dropping out) can be prevented or reduced when multi-year, integrated efforts are used to develop students’ social and emotional skills.

These competencies, along with traditional academic knowledge equip a person to succeed in life and to connect with others. By servicing underrepresented communities with a focus on youth development and education, IIF strives to provide life skills and career development to at-risk youth, as we believe these skills will not only provide strong opportunities for future success but also build better communities as a whole. Most of our programs focus on providing alternatives to antisocial and negative activities while providing opportunities for growth and development.
